Are you looking for your next exciting role as SQL DBA in High Wycombe? If so, read on!

I am currently recruiting for an SQL DBA with experience of MSSQL administration and maintenance from MSSQL 2012 to 2017 and experience of Powershell and batch scripting and automation.

You will be working with DEV, OPS and BI Teams, reporting to the DBA team leader. You will be contributing to the maintenance of the production and development database platforms and technically participation in Infrastructure, DEV and BI projects.

Ideally you will have experience of MSSQL administration and maintenance, including capability of diagnosing and fixing performance issues.

You will have good knowledge and experience of Windows Server operation system from Windows 2008 to Windows 2016 and evidence of MSSQL and Windows Security Configuration.

You will get involved in:

  • Provision MSSQL Database servers with HA and DR requirements to support development and production activities
  • Migrating data between environment (on premise and Cloud services e.g. AWS)
  • Ensuring that all environments meet the corporate Database Server Policy from Security and Data retention perspectives.
  • Troubleshooting and Providing recommendations/fixes to the DEV/BI/OPS team regarding database issues.
  • Servicing database related requests for OPS/BI/DEV following the ITIL and GDPR standard.
  • Database design and optimisation.
  • Planning and ensuring they have a solid and robust backups, HA and DR strategies
