The Product Manager - Unsecured Lending will be responsible for ICL's unsecured lending product line(s). The Product Manager will create, iterate and manage the unsecured lending product(s) in order to meet the needs of our customers and deliver good customer outcomes while driving growth for the product line's online, mobile and retail store presences.



  • To work closely with the Head of Product, Operations Director, Head of Credit Risk, Marketing Manager and Chief Information Officer in setting the product vision for the company, designing and developing new products and optimising existing products to meet customer needs, improve the customer experience, deliver good customer outcomes and improve business performance.
  • To create, manage, and execute the product roadmap to meet customer needs and business goals
  • Lead the execution of product initiatives from conception through to delivery including :
  • To have P&L responsibility for product performance and to continually work with the Operations and Marketing teams' to gain support for improving each products performance.
  • Work closely with the Functional groups and EXCO team, identifying project dependencies and managing the flow of information to all groups
  • ROI analysis on new Product opportunities, to assist with prioritisation discussions.
  • Use analytics and testing to steer improvements, inform projects, and drive product decisions, coupled with a good understanding of best practices and what works well
  • Maintain close relationships with IT to ensure that all requirements are clearly understood and that the project is deliverable and to the agreed timescales.
  • Communicate with project stakeholders and other appropriate parties to ensure that business requirements are being met and initiatives are completed to specifications, on time, and with all appropriate approvals.
  • Collaborate cross-departmentally to conceive of, define, and develop new features and functionality to meet customer needs while supporting business goals such as increases in conversion and growth.
  • To liaise with the Customer Insight team to conduct market research and competitive analysis to continually identify ways to grow the user experience


  • Minimum 3 years' experience in product management for an online retail or e-commerce website. Must include Experience in unsecured lending
  • Experience of financial management in a non-financial role is critical
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with the gravitas to work with senior stakeholders


  • Strong experience developing clear, succinct, articulate user stories and requirements
  • Extensive experience with online, consumer-facing products, a passion for championing product vision, and a deep understanding of user experience and agile methodologies.
  • Passionate about the retail, web, e-commerce, mobile and the overall customer experience
  • Ability to identify and implement cost effective changes to existing customer journey's
  • Proven track record of building product management strategies and high caliber teams from the ground up
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • Experience in an agile development environment required
  • Solid communication, critical thinking, problem solving, and project management skills required. Impeccable attention to detail.
  • Possess a solid understanding of front-end development and design aptitude
  • A self-directed person who operates with passion, urgency, focus, and discipline
