Warwickshire Police and West Mercia Police are seeking exceptional individuals, with a proven background in digital and technical transformation at scale, who can deliver the upgrade that the two forces need.
As the Lead Architect you will define and govern how technical and security solutions are designed, configured and implemented, being the key stakeholder in an effective enterprise design practice.
Managing the technical architecture blueprint you will develop designs and plans that identify opportunities for leveraging technology capability to benefit Warwickshire Police and West Mercia Police, in support of strategic business change initiatives and subsequent projects/ programmes. Key responsibilities include:
- To ensure that the technical and security architecture meets all the relevant industry/national standards and demonstrates consistency of design
- To take responsibility for understanding strategic business requirements, collecting data, delivering analysis and recommending technical options
- Deliver an environment of continuous improvement and innovation in respect of the ICT architecture and ensure that emerging technology and new initiatives are fully evaluated
- Be a core member of Intelligent Client Function (ICF), acting as a key influencer and decision maker in respect of ICT governance, strategy, planning, assurance and standard-setting
You can confidently demonstrate significant experience of designing and architecting technical solutions within in a large complex multi-faceted organisation; translating user requirements into solution designs.
What marks you out however is your ability to think strategically whilst having a strong focus on ICT technologies and operational service delivery.
Educated to degree level (Level 6) or equivalent, you have ITIL Certification (Service Management), or equivalent framework experience. Project management methodology (e.g. PRINCE2) along with formal specialist technical training in systems; desktop, server, database, networks, telephony
Effective interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal are a given.
