DAY RATE - £500-600/DAY, 12 MONTH CONTRACT

London Based

My client, one of the UKs largest and most established organisations currently seeking a Data Architect (Big Data) to join their rapidly expanding Data Science and Analytics function to help deliver a huge transformation program. This is an exciting role, where the successful candidate will help innovate and provide technical leadership whilst delivering cutting edge data solutions.

Within the role, the successful candidate will:

  • Be responsible for the design and implementation of the organisations Data architecture
  • Improve the accessibility of data across the organisation, ensuring the best systems and technologies are being used
  • Write both technical and operational documentation, including designs (High and Low Level), implementation plans, incident management/support documents, budgeting plans and more
  • Work with colleagues across a variety of roles and functions throughout the SDLC including with BAs, PMs, Data Analyst, Data Scientists and more
  • Implement Agile best practices throughout the team whilst improving overall efficiency

The ideal candidate will therefore possess:

  • A strong track record of delivering large scale data solutions across a range of organisations
  • Have sound knowledge across the design and implementation of cloud solutions
  • Strong understanding data modelling and industry standards/best practice
  • Excellent technical skills across technologies like Spark, Hive, Hadoop, Cassandra and more
  • Knowledge of a variety of databases, specifically Oracle
  • Strong understanding of Data Science and associated tools/languages including R and Python
  • Knowledge of DevOps and its application within Data heavy environments
  • A strong track record in leading teams and large data transformation programs
