SC Cleared Change Communications Manager

I am working with a central london client who is looking to hire a Change Communications and Engagement Manager to lead the internal communications for one of the biggest change programmes seen yet

This role is based in London and you will be working on a number of issues and stories that affect the client across the board.

Ideally, you will have experience with working with VIPs and other relevant individuals.

  • Play a leadership role in ensuring the communications are effective and innovative.
  • Develop and implement the communication and engagement strategy, which will sit within the wider internal communications strategy including developing its strategic narrative.
  • Provide guidance to the team regarding which messages and key themes are communicated to ensure consistency, clarity, and impact.
  • Be adept at responding to new communication methods and deploying them at a pace to support Programme objectives.
  • Lead a cross communications working group to ensure local communication channels are used appropriately as a means of communicating with staff.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of communication processes and deliver ongoing improvement.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  • Strong relationship management skills, effective at negotiating and influencing at a senior level. Experience working effectively on projects with multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong planning, organisational and people skills, including delivering communication products to tight deadlines.
  • Experience of working in and with large-scale change programmes.
  • Can quickly generate insights from incomplete data
  • Experience in developing and delivering effective communications strategies and plans, particularly in the context of challenging and difficult messages.
  • Ability to work under pressure, manage competing priorities and changing deadlines.
  • Good knowledge of the communications landscape
  • Experience of evaluating communications campaigns.

Interim Contract Role

I am working with a central London client who is looking to hire a Senior Press Officer to lead the talented press office team. This role is based in London and you will be working on a number of issues and stories that affect the client across the board.

Ideally, you will have experience with working with VIPs and other relevant individuals.

  • Manage a modern media team in developing proactive longer-term handling strategies that set the agenda across the full range of channels.
  • Provide regular media handling advice on policy briefs to the VIPs and senior stakeholders on sensitive, complex and high profile issues.
  • Support the Newsdesk in anticipating and spotting breaking news stories and manage your team to issue swift, robust and appropriate responses.
  • Use the full range of channels in promoting priorities, maximising any digital tools and using relevant insight to get the best possible results.
  • Provide support and direction to your team, with particular attention to their learning and development.
  • Play a full part in being a Senior Press Officer and part of the office management team.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships across the board.
  • Work effectively with the press office team and with colleagues in all disciplines across the department, so that press handling plans are succinct with strategy.
  • Understand departmental priorities so you can communicate key messages clearly, accurately and creatively.
