Talent International are working with a global Technology Consultancy who are looking for a Business Development Director

A successful person will closely engage with clients to build and develop relationships to expand on an existing client basis. Reputation is of high importance to the business, and a real emphasis is placed on understanding the needs of the client.

You will be responsible for driving the business to new levels by managing existing customer accounts as well as researching, identifying, qualifying, developing and closing bespoke delivery, innovation and consulting projects at new customers.

You will be responsible for arranging customer and industry events and campaigns to support your sales pipeline building activities. To achieve your goals, you will partner with other companies and industry groups as necessary, continuously expanding your network and influence.


  • Customer satisfaction with respect to the account management
  • Professional customer account management and networking.
  • Define and implement the key account and account management activities in collaboration with the management team.
  • Actively maintain relevant personal network with potential customers, customers and partners to generate business opportunities + leads.
  • Further development of existing clients (i.e. by uncovering and pursuing cross selling opportunities).
  • Manage proposals for offered services and projects. Responsible for the business part of the proposal.
  • Negotiate contracts and master service agreements in collaboration with other managers of the Company.
  • Identify and evaluate new business partners, relevant for our business. Support the cooperation with existing business partners.
  • Manage customer data and record activities in our CRM system, in-line with company guidelines.
  • Work with the marketing team on lead-generation activity and define requirements for marketing instruments.
  • Market observation: compile up-to-date market and competitor information and consolidate it with the management team.
  • Maintain the corporate identity as a qualitatively leading service provider in accordance with the vision of the company
  • Track-record in successful sales (>£5M per annum) in similar consultancies.


  • At least 10 years sales and marketing experience for software development services.
  • Network of C-level and senior contacts at potential customer organizations
  • Customer focused and able to co-ordinate between disparate groups.
  • 5 years sales responsibility for bespoke software or product solutions.
  • Negotiate contracts and master service agreements in collaboration with other managers of the Company.
  • Ideally you will have a recognised qualification in computing, software or electronics
  • Track-record in successful sales (>£5M per annum) in similar consultancies.
